Topic: FYI Unable To Connect
FYI Guys. I'm still getting "Unable To Connect" error messages everytime I'm on this site whether or not I'm logged in. I get through them and it's a PITA but I deal with it.

Me also....doesn't bother me that much but concerned that it might cause a newbie to lose patience and not want to hang out here
I've had some other new weird glitches with the new forum, and the "quick quote" doesn't work for me either

Same problems. But I'm getting used to them now.

It's just literally taken me five minutes to navigate from one page to another in the forum with either no reaction at all, blank white pages, or the standard 'empty document' message. It's been annoying for ages, it's now getting really annoying as it's been going on for so long.
Something needs to be done here, Nick. The new look is all very well and good but it hasn't addressed the underlying issue - if anything, it's getting worse again.

I never have a problem. Navigation is very quick. No blank pages etc. That has to be really frustrating for ya...
Lately I've been getting the unable to connect when I first click to come to this site. And it takes several more attempts before I'm able to get through. It gives the impression the site is down. I just hope anyone new coming to the site for the very first time is persistent and gets through.
Yes it does need to be fixed.
Please confirm or cancel your last action
Unable to confirm security token. A likely cause for this is that some time passed between when you first entered the page and when you submitted a form or clicked a link. If that is the case and you would like to continue with your action, please click the Confirm button. Otherwise, you should click the Cancel button to return to where you were.
I just had this three times in a row when trying to login!!!
I think the point about all this hassle, even if it is relatively minor hassle, is that it IS hassle and may well put new visitors off from returning. And, it IS unnecessary!!
Guys, Nick, this is bad for the forum and has been going on far too long. If you thought updating the forum would solve the problems, it hasn't. Can you please either fix pronto or at the very least explain here why not?

Cathy and I both had this a few minutes ago, followed by a blank white page.
Just tried to post the latest series of error messages but the whole site crashed when I tried to post and I've lost what I wrote.
I mailed these two very unusual error messages directly to Nick -
An error was encountered
The error occurred on line 189 in /var/www/html/forum/include/search_idx.php
Database reported: Table './jbonamassa_com_-_forum/firstsearch_matches' is marked as crashed and should be repaired (Errno: 145).

Fingers crossed, hitting submit......
Nope, now got this one -

I'm now saving this all up just in case....

Ok, I can enter the forum and navigate to sub-forums, but as soon as I try to open a topic I get one of these messages.

Ho hum, attempt 37..................
This is getting ridiculous today....I can usually hit "refresh" once or twice and the page appears but quite a few times today it wouldn't at all and the only way is to hit "back" and try again. It's getting to be more than a minor annoyance. Can we at least get some info as to why this is happening and if there's a "fix" on the way?

Thanks Nick for fixing the problems!! Fingers crossed that things stay this way..... Cathy
