Topic: Fender to increases prices 30%

Anbody heard this yet? Its true. I asked Guitar Center because I heard about it over the weekend and they confirmed it. Some places have already raised the prices and GC said it would take place in April so if your in the hunt for any Fender products, buy one real soon!

I heard this: prices for Fender Signature models 'across the board' are going to go up $500 each.
Not that I'll ever buy one, but WHY?

Un-fricking-believable.  This country is something else.  I bet the price jump is probably due to the massive relief efforts being made by the government and the fact that tax season is going to put some money in people's pockets.  Everything evens itself out.  If the market finds out you have money coming they just jack the prices to milk you dry...I'm going to burn my strat Jimi style now!!!  Just kidding.

*lol* I think Fender sells too many guitars??

A few years ago I bought a S-1 HH American Strat, it sounds great, and thats enough Fender for me. If I wanted to buy more strat-style guitars I would definetly not buy Fenders anymore (maybe Gigliottis ? big_smile )

Gibson did the same thing a year ago with the 2008 LP Standard, only nobody noticed because they came out with new features on the LP's.  Fender just revamped their American standards last year and they were $100 more then the american series guitars a year earlier.  Now they have revamped the standard MIM models as well to "sound" better.  What ever.   Its inflation deal with it.  Gibson did the same thing and odds are they will do it again if you live long enough.
