Re: Whoo!

Honestly I have no idea what I'll be studying...I'm planning on going there for a couple years to get my AA and then deciding where I want to go from there. As of now I would be either going to Boston to study music, staying there to study engineering, or I guess going somewhere else to study engineering as well.

Looks like it's different to the UK system Danny.
What's an AA ?

Re: Whoo!

An AA is the general education degree that you get the same of from every college. You get your AA after the first two years of college.

Re: Whoo!

Well done, Danny! Congratulations!

If I may offer an elderly word of advice - try and identify what you really want to do as quickly as possible, and then get yourself a specific, rather than a general degree, that will actually be useful in your chosen career.

AA stands for Associate of the Arts
AS stands for Associate in Science   both 2 year degrees
BA & BS are Bachelors of the Arts & Science respectively - a 4 year degree
2-3 more years and you get a Masters degree of whatever including Business.  Most MBA's I know work for some mad dropout genius who knows how to make money.

Was that bitter?  Oh pardon me. big_smile

Add 2-3 years more of jumping through the hoops of academia you gets you a doctorate which makes you almost as cool as one grumpy old blues bassman known as...

The Funky Dr of Love - give us a tritone substitution, please.

Re: Whoo!

Thanks for the kind words...I'm just glad to have a reason to care about school again now that I'm in my final year of high school (although I guess the fact that a tennis player I'm crazy about is a sophomore at SDSU should be enough huh?)!

I have to maintain my GPA/grades for the offer to stand, so I'm off to write a paper on Conrad's Heart of Darkness!
