You wimps!!!! It's gonna be minus 3 degrees (F) in Chicago tomorrow, probably minus 25 with the wind chill.
Now that kinda weather will let you know you're ALIVE! LOL
No comfort here...Bears are dead, Bulls are crap...oops, can't forget about those Blackhawks, those guys actually have a future.

Hey Bill,
Your Blackhawks are reminding me alot of my Pens from last year. Young team with great young talent playing some great hockey.  Good luck.

And the Eagles are the last team I want in the Superbowl, they scare me. That is if we get past the Ravens.

It's been a long time since the local hockey team has had fans buzzin this much.
Aside from the great team they have assembled, there have been some very positive changes since Bill Wirtz passed and his son took over.
Home games on TV, they lured John McDonough over from the Cubs (he's done wonders such as bringing the winter classic here), but best of all, they repaired the chasm between management and the stars of past years. Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Tony Esposito, et. al. were welcomed back into the fold and have taken their rightful place as Blackhawk ambassadors.
I predict a Stanley Cup in Chicago within the next three years.

You can't believe how PO'd I was when the Sabres traded "Soupy" (Brian Campbell) away.  I hope the Blackhawks have him locked into a long term deal. He rocks!
Sabres haven't been the same since... but now we're getting way off topic here...

Yeah it was beautiful in Sacramento yesterday...first time I've taken off my beenie ( I wear a Boston Bruins), everyone ask me what part of Mass I grew up in....I didnt, it was a gift

Only 65 degrees today, but sunny....and by the way if anyone wants to move out here, do it now, you can buy homes under $100, 000....my daughters house dropped $30,000 since Sept sad

Happy days,

Re: A Southern California Tuesday afternoon...

Looks like Chicago will be hitting near record lows tonight. Forecast is for -11 degrees (F), with wind chills 25 to 30 below.
Oh baby, it's cold outside!

Hey Dave,
I actually wear a Boston Bruin cap myself. Not one for hats but I love this one.  Gift from our resident Zamboni driver?  He rocks!

Are you serious about home prices being under 100?  Maybe we can afford to move west.  Howdy neighbor!

Take care everyone. And if I don't meet you no more in this world
Then ill, I'll meet you in the next one and don't be late, don't be late

Wasn't he gonna walk at the end of the season?  It amazes me how the Sabres can always remain competitive even after losing Briere, Drury, Campbell. Thats good coaching on Lindy Ruff's part.  Fun team.

Re: A Southern California Tuesday afternoon...

Yep Paul freakin Rocks!  Knowing how much of a hockey fan I am he really hooked me up. I just love the game. Sure the Pens are my team but I could watch any game, any teams. He sent me a hard back book of the history of the Bruins. This is one sweet book.  And how cool would it be to be the Zamboni driver.  There was nice write up about him in a Boston Mag he sent me. I think 17 years behind the wheel.    Not to mention he's the guy that turned us all on to BDS.    I just sit here and smile when I think of all the great friends I have from this forum.  I mean sure we all trade lots of music back and forth but when people start caring about your well being and remembering your birthday, wifes name.  TRUE FRIENDS.

Hey Dave,
Got a link I could check out for some cribs in your neck of the woods?  Never know.........

Naw, Campbell liked it in Buffalo - they dumped him in a salary cap move.  They couldn't afford to keep both Miller and Biron, so traded Marty away; couldn't afford to keep Briere with what the Flyers were offering and there was no way they could keep Drury, who grew up a Rangers fan and had the opportunity to join that team.
The trouble is they got nothing in return for all that talent they lost.  I just hope they can make the playoffs...

Wow! -15 degrees F when I left my house this morning.
I did a quick conversion...that's -26 degrees C for anyone across the big pond.

Re: A Southern California Tuesday afternoon...

J Dawg,
Can I assume you were lumping us midwesterners in with "eastern"?
I guess from where you're located, almost everyone else in the US would qualify as easterners. LOL
I just want to make sure you weren't forgetting us...21 degrees below zero (F) when I left my house this morning.
I can only think of one time in my life that it's been colder in the Chicago area.

Definitely Bill, I'm really only speaking of west of the Sierras. I could drive 2 hrs. from here or just an hour from Shreds and be in frigid temps, that would be "east on 80". Just saw the temps in Tahoe on the noon news 54 by day, but 16 tonight. When I moved here people would ask, where are you from? I'd say Ohio and they would respond, oh you're from the east coast. You're right though, everything is east from here. High temp in the Bay Area today.........................73 DEGREES.

65F (18 or 19 C) and brilliant sunshine in Las Vegas.  Perfect weather for preserving my liver with only the finest of Scotch single malts. I may not dram my age today (54 drams is quite over the top) but I'll have fun anyhow...
