Topic: Hello from Glasgow, Scotland

Hi to everyone smile

I'm a new fan of JB, having only heard the man in the last few weeks for the first time.

I have to say that the albums Sloe Gin and You and Me are excellent and I can't believe that it's taken me so long to hear Joe.

A bit about me.

I'm 43, married with 2 kids, and have played guitar on and off for 30 years or so. I currently own a Gibson LP Classic (goldtop), Fender Strat Plus and a Yamaha SG2000.

The LP is my go to guitar and has a set of BKP Emerald pickups. I use a Peavey Classic 50 212 amp and to round things off my acoustic is a Yamaha CPX900. I've recently finished a 7 year stint with a band and I'm taking a well earned rest right now smile

I'll be going to the JB gig at the O2 Academy in Glasgow in April and I have to say I'm looking forward to it a lot.

Cheers for now.

Re: Hello from Glasgow, Scotland

Welcome to Joe's forum Scotty.
I wish I had a pound for every time I have heard someone say 'How come I haven't heard of Joe before'!!
The important thing is that you have now. It's a really great ride listening to all Joe's stuff for the first time.
Nothing compares to a live show though, be prepared for your jaw to hit the floor!
There's plenty of guitar players here too Scotty.

Have fun....Tripsy smile

Hi Scotty and welcome.

Tripsy is spot on................just wait until you see Joe live it is the most amazing experience - time after time not just the first concert!

Rock on and keep the faith!!

Thanks for the welcome people.

It's much appreciated smile

Re: Hello from Glasgow, Scotland

Welcome to the forum from another Scot! smile

Glad to hear that you have heard about Joe and will be attending Joe's concert at the Academy.

I would hope to be there too, however it may not happen as I have a ticket for the rescheduled Gateshead show the week before and the Royal Albert Hall the following week! I hope to meet up with you sometime soon! smile

Oh Goodie!! It's so much fun to hear from a new fan. We all wondered why we hadn't heard of Joe before when we had our first exposure. As you can see, lots of Joe fans for you to meet at the next show. 7 years? You do deserve a break. Just don't put your guitars down because J.B. will inspire you to push your skills. Welcome and enjoy!!!    Cathy
