Topic: A Southern California Tuesday afternoon...

...in the middle of January, and it's 90 degrees out. I'm headin' to the beach! Going to try to catch some rays (using SPF of course!) before giving my 5:15 guitar lesson...

Snowing like crap right now and tomorrows high is single digits. Hey but our Steelers are still playing! How's your Chargers?

Take care everyone. And if I don't meet you no more in this world
Then ill, I'll meet you in the next one and don't be late, don't be late

Re: A Southern California Tuesday afternoon...

Yesterday a few neighborhoods in the Bay Area hit the upper 70's and right now in Benicia it's 69 degrees and I'm in shorts and a t-shirt for work today. Time to get back outside instead of wasting this beautiful weather in front of this computer.

You wimps!!!! It's gonna be minus 3 degrees (F) in Chicago tomorrow, probably minus 25 with the wind chill.
Now that kinda weather will let you know you're ALIVE! LOL
No comfort here...Bears are dead, Bulls are crap...oops, can't forget about those Blackhawks, those guys actually have a future.

Re: A Southern California Tuesday afternoon...

I'm hoping to miss the worst of it; leaving tomorrow morning for a long weekend in Vegas.  I can take sunny and 60's better than single digits and 30 mph winds.
Now if only my flights don't get cancelled...

Danny if you can make your way to Vegas, John Lee Hooker Jr. is playing at Boulder Station on Thursday (freebie).

Major Tom to ground control...

Hey Bill,
Your Blackhawks are reminding me alot of my Pens from last year. Young team with great young talent playing some great hockey.  Good luck.

And the Eagles are the last team I want in the Superbowl, they scare me. That is if we get past the Ravens.

Take care everyone. And if I don't meet you no more in this world

Ah bummer, well shoot me an email if you end up coming out.

Oooh I forgot to mention, I found a big dead starfish at the beach today that I brought home, cleaned in hot water, and I'm letting it sit outside in the sun for a couple days with some shoes weighing down the tentacles so they don't curl up. My Dead Stuff collection is slowly growing and as of now consists of an alligator head from New Orleans, a puffer fish from Beliz, and now a starfish from Salk Creek State Beach, California smile

Bitchen eh?

It's been a long time since the local hockey team has had fans buzzin this much.
Aside from the great team they have assembled, there have been some very positive changes since Bill Wirtz passed and his son took over.
Home games on TV, they lured John McDonough over from the Cubs (he's done wonders such as bringing the winter classic here), but best of all, they repaired the chasm between management and the stars of past years. Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Tony Esposito, et. al. were welcomed back into the fold and have taken their rightful place as Blackhawk ambassadors.
I predict a Stanley Cup in Chicago within the next three years.

Re: A Southern California Tuesday afternoon...

Now that the sun has set it's freakin' 47 degrees out, Brrrrrr. Actually we don't need sunshine here in Cali. as much as we need rain and lots more of it to make snow in the mtns. so we have water later this summer.
