Topic: Howl at the Moon!

The current full moon is the closest in 18years. Take a moment to look up...maybe give a howl! It's a busy sky weekend with the Geminid meteor shower out of the NE sky all night long. While the full moon will interfere, with up to 65 per hour, you're bound to catch one.... And, it's free, wholesome entertainment....enjoy!...SkyCaptain Cathy

G Dawg, if you want to know how to spell howl consult some Allen Ginsberg, LOL.

Re: Howl at the Moon!

Cathy, I get into this kind of stuff too.  I actually spend an inordinate amount of time gazing at the sky... nighttime sky, daytime clouds, sunsets, sunrises... you get the idea, lol. roll  Unfortunately, that night it was completely clouded over here and I couldn't see a thing.  Well actually it started out clear and I saw the full moon rising, but then it clouded up, so I didn't catch any of the meteor shower.  Tried the next night too... same thing happened. hmm

The witchy woman and I had already planned a howl from the balcony tonight....but y'all have NO idea just how *&#*ing cold it is over here, so we may have to let loose a subdued indoor howl.

Re: Howl at the Moon!

According to the evening news, the full moon tonight is the brightest of the year. The best night to "recharge" your crystals. It's overcast here, yet there are moon shadows! It's also very cold, but I'll manage a howl or two. Now, where's my broom?    Cathy

Re: Howl at the Moon!

No wonder the hair on my ears needed a trim this morning. Looking out the window, there it is, no clouds and I can see the dimples on his chin. AHHHHWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Gotta go out and check it out. Freezing here (for socal) must be down to 55, lol

And what's that, Brack?  Did you inexplicably find yourself in the woods, naked save for some extra thick body hair, with raw flesh stuck between your teeth and blood dripping down your chin or something? tongue

But anyway, yes, on our way to New Jersey last night to see The Machine, my friend and I had an excellent view of the moonrise... huge and pinkish at first, then bright white as it rose higher... I even commented that it seemed extra "glowy", even through a slightly cloudy atmosphere.  Also very fitting for a night of Floyd music... they played a good bit of Dark Side of the Moon throughout the evening too. cool

Hiya Cathy

Shame it was overcast where you are. I couldn't take my eyes off our celestial neighbor last night. I'd just locked up and we were on our way to bed, and I thought there was a car outside with it's headlights on but I could hear no engine running - so I peeked out and it was beautiful. The sky was crystal clear and the moonlight was reflecting off the frost. Brightest I've ever seen!

Hope you're keeping well out there.
