Great choice...anything from And the Horse He Rode in On works as well.  I love me some Mark Selby.

No matter how well you know someone, you can only ever guess.  How can you ever really know somebody else? It takes more than a lifetime just to get to know yourself.  Nobody knows the meaning of loneliness.  - Van Morrison

Agreed Chris, what a terrific song writer. I'm not sure he's ever written a bad song!

Re: Favorite relaxing songs?

Pink Floyd's "Echoes" for sure...
I mean there are LOTS of relaxing songs I could mention, but that one just jumped out at me right now.

This thread reminds me of a funny story...
I got my first two speeding tickets on the same night, ten minutes apart.  (There's a whole big long but entertaining story that goes with this too, which I'm skipping since it's not relevant to this post... roll)  But anyway, I'm 18 and a college student... I make it to my apartment, nerves shot all to hell, worried about how I'm gonna tell my parents, etc.  All I wanna do is lay flat on my bed and listen to some relaxing music to calm me.  I choose Dire Straits' live album Alchemy (as I still often do to relax, so there's another entry for this thread).  First song is Once Upon A Time In the West.  Now I am a lyric person, and I listened to that album a lot, so I don't know how I never noticed the opening lyrics before that night:

Some people get a cheap laugh breaking up the speed limit
Scaring the pedestrians for a minute
Crossing up progress driving on the grass
Leaving just enough room to pass
Sunday driver never took a test
Oh yeah, once upon a time in the west

I couldn't believe it... I didn't know whether to laugh or cry... I might have done both!  lol tongue
