I spoke to Nicki today after the whole site went down around lunch. The servers were down. I asked about the disapearing posts. He gave a somewhat possible technichal explanation that I nodded and acted like I understood but really didn't. It did appear to be rooted in server issues. I suggest you copy your post incase it needs to be reentered again.

At least he knows there is a problem. The spam has been ferrocious latley but at least it hasn't made it here. The verification process has been tedious for new members to begin posting. Still exploring ideas and applications to solve the problem.

Hope the problems doesn't cause too much inconvience till he gets it worked out.

I have been consistently getting 'page load' errors in Firefox for the last few days. The page loads ok as soon as I refresh, but it's really been happening quite frequently, which leads me to suspect that there's still something not quite right. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yep, me too Gdawg....sometimes refresh doesnt do the trick either...been going on for about 4 days now...swearing seems to work the best, try it sometimes, great for stress also

Me too, starting 2 or 3 days ago. I thought it was a problem with our wireless connection, but I guess it isn't.

Same here. I use firefox too. At first I thought it was just me and the network was telling me to slow down and take my time. I's only been happening on this site.

I just go back and reclick to the page I wanted and it'll go through.

Same here it just happened loading this page and I use Internet Explorer(I'm not scared it works great). I keep getting "website cannot download" message, so I go back and try again and it usually works the on the second try. Hmmmm....

This is really weird! If I access the forum via Windows IE I am logged out, but if I use Firefox I am still logged in and cannot log out no matter how I try. What's going on?

I came back to the forum via WIE and even though I was logged out (said Login at the top of page) my name was in the list of people online. I logged in then out and closed WIE. Came back through Firefox and I was still logged in.
Confused?? I am!
I only tried Firefox after reading about the insecurity of WIE, wish I hadn't bothered!
Anyway. All I can say is if it says I'm online I might not be.

Don't know whether I'm coming or going!! ....Tripsy smile

Hmmm, maybe thats why I was logged in all day twice in a week....I was starting to question myself...I knew for sure I had logged out before going to work...well see in the morning...IM LOGGING OUT NOW , IT'S 8:52 PM   lol

Just bumping this up in view of Spider's post.

I'm still getting the 'page load' errors regularly, but it would be a gross exaggeration to say that I get them between every page - so my 'issue' hasn't actually got worse, but it hasn't stopped either.

I've been trying without success to order t-shirts since my last post. I got constant "Connection interrupted" and "The document contains no data" errors, which all went away again after a refresh.

Worse though, I couldn't buy the shirts because my login and password (the same as I use here) were not recognized. When I tried to reset my password I was told that neither my user name nor email were on the database!!!!!!!!!!!

Which is, well, really not possible. roll

Ditto here.  If fact, it just happened again as I clicked on this thread.  I never bothered posting before, but since the thread's been bumped, I figured I'd report that I'm still having the problem too.

It doesn't happen between every page but it does happen at least once every time I visit this site. It's annoying but I get through it.
