I know Joe used 11-52....I currently play D'addario 11-49. What brand does Joe use?

Joe used to use Dean Markley 11- 52. He would take a 7 string set and throw away the largest string. He now has an Ernie Ball endorsement so Ernie Balls now in his prefered size.

Jim M, one more quick Question if I can- about the Carl Martin Boost/Drive pedal? It's one he's used alot of... Does it have a Tube in it? I looked at their site and really could not get the definitive answer, aside from "tube" sounds...
The question is very material for me... using a solid state amp. A real Tube pre-amp is a good thing... Whereas, if I were using a Tube Amp (like a Silver Jubilee) you may not want to color the signal with a tube in your pedal... Does that make sense? Please help, this is sincerely appreciated.

Sorry Louis. I don't know that one. I have watched Joe demo his rig a time or two but I don't know enough about gear to be able to answer that. If I were to guess I would say no tube. Maybe Joe will chime in.

I dont believe the Carl Martin was ever made with a tube in it. I know the Flip Tremolo Joe used was a tube job though.
