Topic: Brand New Interview With Vocalist Cormac Neeson Of The Answer

About a week and a half ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to talk in depth with vocalist Cormac Neeson of rising Irish rockers The Answer, whom many of you know are opening up for AC/DC on all dates of their 'Black Ice' North American tour. Enjoy!!

As many on this forum have already said, these boys from Downpatrick, Northern Ireland are the real deal, and if you haven't checked them out, and love 70's styled blues based rock in the tradition of Led Zeppelin, Humble Pie and Free, you owe it to yourself to check these lads out. There's a reason why they're receiving standing ovations after only 30 minutes night after night on the AC/DC tour - quite simply, they flat out rock.

Re: Brand New Interview With Vocalist Cormac Neeson Of The Answer

Hi Keith, I shall be checking out the interview later. I am just at the airport about to fly to the UK. I am so pleased to hear that The Answer are going down well on the AC/DC tour. It is such great exposure for them. They are the nicest guys and bloody talented. I thought an AC/DC crowd might be hard to get a hearing from but as you say they rock and Cormac's voice is enough to grab immediate attention. Probably a welcome change from Brian Johnston's growl.

Nice interview Keith, if I missed it, where did they get their name from?...and I believe Cormac sounds alot more like Plant than Rodgers...they got a standing ovation at the 2nd AC/DC show but not the first one, maybe people came back for the next one like me...like I said on here before, they will be heard from for a long time

Yeah, I'd say closer to Plant that Rodgers too, certainly better than Brian Johnson!

UK Music Chain HMV Tips Rising Irish Rockers The Answer To Break Through in 2009

UK Music chain HMV has released its top ten compilation list of "unknowns" tipped to break through this year.

In the past, the store has predicted the success of Franz Ferdinand, The Arctic Monkeys and Duffy.

HMV music buyer Rob Watson said: "There's perhaps not one stand out name that's on everyone's lips, as we saw with Duffy last year, but that's more than made up for by the sheer number and quality of the new acts in the frame.

"There's a bumper crop of fresh faces out there, and 2009 promises to be a vintage year for new music."

Blues/rock band The Answer, from County Down who have been supporting AC/DC and signed with Albert Productions is top of the list, Filthy Dukes who have already played stages at Glastonbury and Bestival are second and Florence and the Machine, a 22-year-old quirky singer-songwriter from Camberwell, south London, is also one to look out for.
