Topic: Susan Tedeschi album advice?

Hey guys,

Can someone recommend a particular album from Susan Tedeschi? I only have a few songs of hers on other albums, but wanted to buy more of her stuff since ages ... but I don´t know which one(s) to buy and I kind of trust your taste in music - so I ask you guys first. wink

Just heard the song "It hurts so bad" and absolutely loved it - do you know on which album I can find that song?!

Hey Eva, I have "Wait for Me", and it is really good, also have some selected songs that a downloaded just some singles.  She has such a great voice and is  super nice lady...

Hi Eva,

We have but one of Susan's CDs, "Live From Austin, TX", and it does contain "It Hurts So Bad". I like live albums and this is a good one. It's a fairly mellow record for the most part, but that's her style. No searing guitar licks, but sensational vocals and a really good band backing her.

An interesting question Eva, I'll be interested to see the results too.

It Hurts So Bad is on her debut album Just Won't Burn. The album featured the late great Sean Costello on guitar.

I just got her latest album, I'd recommend that one for sure. Pretty much all of her stuff is worth a listen though!

Are the few you have, In The Garden & Zep's Rock'n'Roll that she did with Double Trouble and Kenny Wayne? I vaguely remember sending those once upon a time in your lesson plan LOL. In The Garden is my favorite tune of hers. I've got Live From Austin which opens with Sly Stones You Can Make It If You Try and a terrific cover of Angel From Montgomery. Live is a must have regardless of the others.

I love the rendition of "Angel From Montgomery" she does on the Wintertime Blues benefit concert cd. Speaking of merry christmas...Susan,Derek Trucks,Govt Mule,Little Milton & Johnny Neal do "Merry Christmas Baby" together to end the cd.

Good choice Eva, her first CD was critically acclaimed, try and see her live whenever she come to Germany...

I don't care for any of her albums from front to back, however I love Susan.  She has an incredible voice, as you already know.  I would get any album that has "Rock Me Right" on it.  I just LOVE that song and it is a must for your Susan collection.  Sorry, I don't know what album it's on off hand.  Also - the work she does with the Derek Trucks band is great... there is a song she does at the Crossroads Festival (on DVD) that is amazing.
