I am so sorry to hear that. Twice in a year doesn't seem fair.
I'm seeing lots of lay-offs in our industry too (construction).
Lots of people nervous they're next.
I sure hope things work out quickly for you again.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going, and don't go near the pity pot. Could be worse you could be in the real estate biz, or an auto worker here in the U.S., my construction biz is listing hard to port these days too. Don't fret, you can always eat the rich as Lemmy said.

I'm sorry to hear that Geoff, that's really bad luck.
The company I work for is once again 'reducing it's headcount'. 14 people from 43 are being laid off this week. Luckily for me I am safe for the time being...but I think this year's Xmas do might be the last one!
Good luck in finding another job. You never know what the New Year may bring. Hope it doesn't spoil your Xmas.

Seriously, yes, we're very worried about the future and trying our best to keep a roof over our heads. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those in the same situation and I hope that all of you with jobs manage to ride out this storm. Have a lovely Christmas and hope to see you at the RAH next year.

Hi Geoff you are so close to me at the moment but i hope you get a way for your self and the thing a man has to do!!! ....please think of the dream you ever head to reach or to be and work on it and if you loose ,you can say! you have tryed and you get Luck i know ......only think Strategic is a way at the moment ....so it means take a job that brigs you closer to your Dream and your live will be Compled
