Topic: Joe have You tried Gibson ES-339 ?

If You have tried one I would like to know how You liked it.

I just got mine after waiting for 3 months. It's an '59 fat neck antique cherry with '57 humbuckers. It plays wonderfull and has that nice boxy midrange tone of the 335's. I tried it with my Dumble-inspired amp that I built and although it sounded pretty good, I'm not sure of the '57 pickups. I'm going to try pair of Seymour Duncan '59s I have.

Btw. I just got to know that You played in my home country on 2001 at the Puistoblues festival. Unlucky me I did not know of You by then. Luckily I got tickets to the RAH show on may 2009 :O) Hope to see You at Finland on the future (not so far from Germany :O) and very much looking to see You and Your band at London.
