Topic: Newbie learning the ropes (slowly)

Hi, I've posted this elsewhere as a reply not realising you should start a new topic. Sorry guys, bear with me I'll get there...

anyway,

Hi! all fellow JBm fans around the globe. It seems to be a growing fraternity. I'm Mike a Newbie comin' atcha from, literally, deep in a forest in Germany. I kinda climb trees for a living (dunno how that happened!).

Special greetings go to Amsterhammer. Never thought I would find a fellow Irons dude on here! I'll give Upton Park your regards on Monday.

Seen Joe 4 times here over the last couple of years and meant to register here much sooner. Still better late than never.  The guy is an absolute axe "meister" and I was delighted to get the chance to speak with him in Hannover the gig before last and get a cool poster signature. Being English it had to be "Tea for One".

The concert in Hamburg on Tuesday was awesome. The word is getting out and we were 1200 strong apparently. I was hoping he would use all the guitars he brings and this time out he nearly did. Still picking my jaw off the floor following the Flying V version of Just Got Paid!

Sorry for going off message. I'm a bit new at this...

Best wishes from a snow white Norddeutschland

Hi Mike! Welcome!

Don't fret too much about being a newbie. We've all been there at one point.

Re: Newbie learning the ropes (slowly)

Take it easy climbing trees in this weather!...Are you a tree surgeon?

Moin Mike,

have fun here in the forum. You stumbled over a good one. smile
I've been at the same concert this year in march in hannover.
I also got this great poster (even unsigned) which hangs in our rehearsalroom
now.

Enjoy,

Re: Newbie learning the ropes (slowly)

Well knock me down with a feather! Another Hammer! big_smile

A Hammer who climbs trees in Germany - it can't get much stranger than that, but we have learned that everything is possible in Joe world, especially in this here sometimes almost mystical forum. Hope to see you posting regularly mate, and enjoy Monday! The Amsterdam Irons will all be present in my living room for the game. cool

Hi Mike,

I´ve said it before elsewhere, but I´ll say it again: good to have another German Bonabuddy on board and hope to see you next time in Hamburg! smile

Also from deep in the (Bavarian) forrest wink, Eva

Re: Newbie learning the ropes (slowly)

Hallo Mike,

Like Eva said: a warm welcome to another German on the board! Though I'm from Holland I must admit that all the Germans I've met were/are very, very nice!!

They are almost  like Dutchmen...............................................................................

Maybe we meet at one of the Joeshows in the future, I go to a lot of German shows: closer to my hometown, very very nice people, good venues.
