Topic: X-mas jam

The start of x-mas jam is 9 days away,  Dec. 11-13 Asheville NC. Just think Govt. Mule, Allman Bro's, Derek Trucks band, Johnny Winter, Robben Ford, etc,etc. Should be an awesome show. The pre-jam Dec 11 is suppose to be broadcast live on wncw 88.7 they also stream from their website. Check it out and request JB on their request list. They play a mix of music during the day and host a blues show on saturday nights 7 to 11pm.

They always play the pre jam the night live on 88.7  I'm ready Gov't Mule is playing both nights now so I'm happy.  Me and my dads going, we've gone every year since 2003 we did miss the dave mathews show where he was at in 2006 but I don't care much for him anyway.  Jonny will be great. I've never seen Robben Ford play so I'm ready for that.  Anyway man enjoy the show maybe we'll cross paths.  Later.

How long before the doors open should I get there to get good seats, the doors open at 6pm?

Ahh man that was 2 wonderful nights with some great special guests.  Anybody who missed those shows really did miss out on a wonderful night of fun.  Did anybody else go?

Rockinarcher and I were there saturday night. Simply awesome!! Almost 8 hours of  live music being played by masters.  Some of my fav. highlights are as follows.

Johnny Winter was introduced by Warren as being one of his idols when he started playing guitar. Johnny is still amazing.

Michael Franti & Jay Bowman,  John Paul Jones playing mandolin and Robben Ford playing guitar.

Coheed & Cambria,  Warren firing off blues and slide licks with a metal band

Govt Mule, playing Zepplin songs with John Paul Jones and Ben harper singing, also playing Skynrd's Simple Man with Travis Tritt singing.

Way to much action for me to go into details here. Still trying to come down off the music high. Three of JB's fav guitar players were there on one night. Will defiently be attending all the nights next time. I wish I had been there Friday night to.
