Topic: ATTN: Germany - The Mighty Orq heading your way

Check them out if you have a chance...they are an excellent power trio that have opened for Joe Bonamassa and Robin Trower, and are making a name for themselves in Texas and the southern US.

Re: ATTN: Germany - The Mighty Orq heading your way

This is their first tour abroad in support of the new album. I highly recomend catching them if you can. Orq's vocals are a cross between Doyle Bramalls II and Malford Milligan. His guitar playing is not like anybody but him. One of the most unique players I have seen. The drummer is a busy drummer like a Mitch Mithcell but with restraint. The new guy on Bass is from the Spin Doctors. He is rock bass player in a blues rock band. Not unlike Eric Czar. Not in Eric's leauge but the analagy works. They are a smokin band. Worth the effort to see.

Orq is a nice humble guy that doesn't take himself to seriously. Love his songwriting and his take on the few covers they do. I do wish them luck over there they have been a pretty well kept secret in this neck of the woods. The new album is much more rock/pop than blues. I really think they blend well with the tastes in music displayed here.
