Topic: The Miller Boys: LD and Cole

We went and seen the Millers over the weekend and they were really good.  I'd recommend going to see them if they come to your area.

Ld was awesome on the harp but the person who I thought stood out the most was his brother Cole.  He's got a ton of talent, the way he plays the drums and his ability to sing with emotion is definately a rare find.  I have never seen a drummer play with his intensity and sing with the same intensity.  He also plays guitar and did a solo piece while everyone else took a breather.  The whole gang is a very talented group and it's GREAT to see a family that enjoys playing together like they do.

IMHO, what they did in America's Got Talent didn't do them any justice.  I think if they would have played as a whole group (with dad and brother Clayton) they would have won.

Go check them out.

Re: The Miller Boys: LD and Cole

My brother in law was a professional harmonica player - has played with and produced a cd for the legendary Harmonicats...now he plays the smallest harmonica in the world...and can play anything on it!

Found these photos of him on the NBC web site in Chicago-auditioned for Regis' TV show, "America's Got Talent".
Of course, he played his MY2NZ one inch harmonica... his stage name is "idybit".

He'll find out whether or not he makes it onto the show in a few weeks.
They put some pictures of him on the NBC web site-
One picture shows the America's Got Talent camera crew filming him while he played the song "America".
They then made him say, "Hi, my name is Rock- I'm from Wisconsin, I play the world's smallest harmonica and I've got talent!".

There were so many people that thought it was just the coolest thing...wondering where they could get one...
The second slide is when we finally got up to the front of the line- the security check-point.

He did amazingly well and, of course, I think he'll be called to appear on the show.
I'll keep you posted.
In the mean time, here is a link to the Chicago NBC posting.

I grew up loving Jerry Murad's Harmonicats. Still do. I exchange emails occasionally with Danny Wilson who plays bass harp for the current 'Cats, and who also played with Jerry Murad's Harmonicats and the Don Les Harmonicats.

Great music. There's nothing like it!

I can put you in touch with Rock if you want.  He recorded their last cd before one of the original members died. They do a killer version of "the Cantina" from Star Wars.

Re: The Miller Boys: LD and Cole

Just posted a new topic on my brother - if he gets on TV for America's Got Talent - it should be at the Chicago tryouts airing in two weeks or so.
