Topic: I Got My Un-Aged JB Les Paul

Well I did it again… I bought # 251 and I love it. This guitar is just as incredible as the aged #51 that I own. I sold my Hasselblad 501cm camera and a Carvin, Craig Chaquico to pay for the first one. I had to cash in 90 hours of vacation time to help pay for this one. I will get some better photographs online later this week, for now check out some very poor shots.

Joe, why didn’t Gibson have your signature on the Certificates of Authenticity for the un-aged guitars?

Take care
Bill

Bill,

I take it that Joe's signature is on the aged COA?

Maybe that is why they are selling it at such a discounted price?  But it is very strange.

Re: I Got My Un-Aged JB Les Paul

Not only that, the COA doesn't say that it is an "Inspired by Joe Bonamassa".  Before I go shell out 3400 to 4000 for one, I'd like to know why the difference.  Joe's post saying it is a special batch for Wildwood Guitars (Musician Friends got a few too for sale) is good for me by I wonder why there is a difference in the COA.

confused,

Beautiful, you could get lost staring into that gold. Enjoy it!

Re: I Got My Un-Aged JB Les Paul

I still have a hard time swallowing the fact that Joe's signature Les Paul is a Gold Top when I've still never seen him play one live. And I've seen him once a year for the last 4 years.
Strange.

Re: I Got My Un-Aged JB Les Paul

He's just putting something original out there man, everybody has a flame top now days but who has a gold top signature model???  Joe Bonamassa thats who, and he played it a heck of a lot when we saw him last month tongue

Re: I Got My Un-Aged JB Les Paul

I just got 256!  She is awsome.  The biggest sounding guitar I have ever owned.  I saw Joe in October and he played the Gold top most of the set and it was by far the best sounding one of the night.  Love the high gloss finish!  I like the aged look too, but this was just does it for me.....

Also I know the COA is not signed but I am a player not a collector.  This is an awsome guitar and it is a custom shop.  What else is ther to know?

Re: I Got My Un-Aged JB Les Paul

Well I was unable to get the funds together for a JBLP, especially with Christmas right around the corner and all the family birthday's that just occured.  I couldn't scrape enough to buy a toy for me of that caliber.  However, I did order a new Les Paul Tradiditonal Goldtop.  Not exactly the JB version but I am very pleased with my choice.  I love Goldtops, I think they are the classiest LP out there...in my humble opinion.  I know in time, I will regret not getting the unaged JBLP, but I am getting a wonderful instrument in its place.  I also ordered a Seymour Duncan Phat Cat p-90 that is going int he neck position of the Traditional and I just dropped SD '59's in my wine red studio.  Now I have to decide whether to keep my 07 Fender American Deluxe Strat or try to sell it.

Still...I'm really bummed about the JBLP

I'm gonna drop in a Phat Cat P90 in the neck position and maybe switch out the cream mounting rings and switch ring for black from the LP studio
