I meant to chime in here the other day. Phone rang and it was back to work.
Lefty is a pretty incredible guy. He's a Georgia-boy. We have seen him several times now. He's got a few gigs here in town coming up.
I have to say, Lefty's Snake Oil CD is probably one of the best "studio" versions of what a band can do live also. You know how often either the live show is great, studio not-so-great or vice versa, a band can do a studio CD really well, but not pull it off live....
Well, Lefty is the real deal. He can jam like no other. And he loves to have other folks pop up and play with him. When he did his CD release gig here in Atlanta he had several other bands and guitar players who hopped up on stage with him.
The two most notable were Joe Pitts from Joe Pitts Band (a great blues band from Arkansas) and then Elliot Holden (a more progressive guitarist from ATL).
I'm putting some photos up. They aren't great, but I'll post on here when they've uploaded to my myspace site. My husband shot some video. I'll have to see where it's buried and see if he can get it up on his site.
Just helping to spread the word about going to see GOOD bands and GOOD live music as often as possible!!!
