Topic: Favorite comedians???

Who are your favorite comedians???

I just saw Frank Caliendo live. It was sooooo funny.

I also love Brian Regan (he's coming to town in February big_smile big_smile)

Re: Favorite comedians???

I got a few I like.

Bill Hicks - Ok hes not around anymore, but his performances are still widely available, this guy was a genius.
Russell Brand - Love his stand up, like some of his TV shows, Ponderland being very funny. Has a habit of saying the wrong thing at times though smile See MTV Awards and his recent Radio 2 show debarcle.
Richard Pryor, Another one that has left us now, but side splittingly funny!
Ricky Gervais - His stand up routines are quite different, being more like lectures on a subject(Politics, Animals, Fame etc etc). But still very very funny.
Eddie Izzard - Very inventive humour.

Probably more i have forgotten right now, but that is a good list smile

Re: Favorite comedians???

We might as well start up our favorite lines from our favorite comedians.

Daniel Tosh: "When I'm having a bad day, I like to take a home pregnancy test, and when it comes out negative, I can say, 'Hey, at least I'm not pregnant!'"

Re: Favorite comedians???

Stephen Colbert and all of his writers, nothing like some gut busting humor at the expense of the conservative right. Don't miss Stephen's Christmas special premiering tonight at 10:00 PM.

I don't know who is out there *now* but my favorites have always been George Carlin and Bill Cosby. smile

Re: Favorite comedians???

If we are talking TV shows. I really like Penn and Tellers' Bull **##. They make fun of the Wacko right and the Wacko's on the left. I especially liked the episode where they debunk the hysteria of carbon emission guilt syndrome. I prefer thinking for myself instead of thinking green.

LOL, there's a joke in there somewhere.
anyone can debunk anything if you leave out half the facts....

I don't know if i have a favorite but keep posting links I'm cracking up

Yeah you're right, there's something there in a comedic sense, but the reality of it all is pretty harsh.

Re: Favorite comedians???

That is an interesting take on it. Sometimes when I watch Bill Maher I feel he is a little harsh. I wonder if I'm too sensitive.

Back on topic. Always loved George Carlin.
