You didn't know that the Hoff "sings"???? I'm surprised Gunter, really - a man with your broad knowledge of music and your taste.

It´s devastating, George, but I have to realize that I have ignored this precious pearl of American High Culture - maybe out of an unconscious complex of nationalistic pride. So I missed the chance to give my life a deeper meaning.

Re: Heavy Metal Bad For Your Heart?

My solution for the delema of heavy metal sometimes being a bit over the top for certain parts of your day or life is that there is another genre of music sometimes called Melodic Rock, kind of a nice place between heavy metal and hard rock. Some of my favorites in this genre are out of Switzerland - Gotthard, Shakra, Crystal Ball etc. Great vocalists combined with nice fast beats & some very nice guitar make for a good upbeat type of music, kinda reminds me of the rock of the 70s and 80s. The live Gotthard recordings from the mid 90s are some of the most favorite shows in my collection !

Yeah, Annies Song worked everytime in the crossroadsmobile, especially with, umm, Annie,
another proven winner in the crossroadsmobile was 'Gaye' by Clifford T Ward, I used to load it up at the right cue on the eight track for when we got back to the car.A few romantic words, a little sincere compliment, - choose the right moment and hit the music, easy, easy easy- I should have been arrested.

This deserves it's own thread.
