Topic: Techy Help Please ??

Just wondered if any more techy types could help.

This here laptop is running VISTA (GGGRRRRRRRR) and has strarted to do an annoying thing on the E Mail thingy.

If I type an E Mail and press send, it doesn't actually get sent until I close Windows mail and open it again.
It didn't used to do this.
I don't think anyone has changed any settings.

The obvious box is ticked which says "send immediately"

Anyone have any idea ??

Anyone near Bill gates ?
Tell him the world wasn't ready for Vista.

Re: Techy Help Please ??

Hope this helps.

Re: Techy Help Please ??

Alright, I'll start off by saying: Amsterhammer is right...Downgrading would solve so many problems....

This may solve your problem....

-Click Tools, then Accounts, then your email account, then Properties.
-Tick the box for "Include This Account When Recieving Mail or Syncronizing"
-Click Apply.
-Click on OK and then Close.
-Click on Tools, then Options. Tick the box for "Send and Recieve Messages at Startup"
-Apply, and then Ok.

Vista has been off to a VERY bad start. Of course, it has its Ups, but these are memory hungry, and devour your harddrive and RAM....

*VISTA-HINT* Remember to run DiskCleanUp regularly...

(hope this helped)

Re: Techy Help Please ??

I have Vista, Ges, but haven't had that problem...OTHER problems, yes, but not that one.

Hi Kuwaks

Thanks for the help.
These settings were already in place when I followed your advice.
