Topic: Diezel Einstein or Bogner Shiva

Anyone of you with personal experience with regard to which one is better to get Joe`s tone? Thx

Re: Diezel Einstein or Bogner Shiva

Neither - he doesn't use them nor is anything in his rig similar.

Re: Diezel Einstein or Bogner Shiva

I know that but  the Diezel is a very versatile amp. So just wondered if anybody has the amp and gets some good bluestones ala Joes out of it. I know also that the Einstein is not known for being a Blues amp but i think it is very versatile and would be especially interested what Joe thinks about them. Would also be very interested in Joes opinion about Fractal axe FX which i heard a lot of good things about.

The shiva is a much better sounding amp in my humble opinion.  I think it is clearer, and roars with a vengence.  The Diezel is a great amp but not my cup of tea when it comes to blues and getting a thick natural drive. It feels more metallic and more geared for heavier music.

Good luck.

Hi Andy

if you are wondering about the FX check out a lot of Hunter's clips over at the Bareknuckle forum
here's an example of Whitesnake but he has done a lot of different stuff if you search

He seems to love it and he's owned or played practically ever boutique amp at some stage or another. He sold loads of really good stuff when he got his axe FX as he felt it wouldn't get used enough anymore
