Topic: They claim that JB uses their gear

In looking at different equipment manufacturers web sites, I see some of them mention that Joe uses their gear. I find some of these highly questionable as it common knowledge what Joe uses. Or so we think???? Could all these mfg's actually be authorized by Joe? Or are they using his name to boost their pro user resume?

what stuff were you looking at?  I notice that with a lot of different companies they tend to mention who HAS used there gear to make this huge list of people (who probably do not still) who use their stuff.

I think the thing is, a company will put that someone uses their gear if they even sent them any gear or the artist bought any gear from them... just because Joe doesn't use it in his rig now doesn't mean he doesnt use it (look at the Korg G4, Deja-Vibe etc. that were on his big pedal board)... they're not lying, they're telling the truth, its just that he doesnt' use it live...

Joe's on the Option 5 website, there's a quote from him talking about the Destination Phase, it's old though.

Basically, if Joe has used it once in the last 20 years, they'd probably say he uses their gear. Given all thing stuff he tries and doesn't keep, that list could get really long!
