Congrats Don!  Raving reveiws in the new issue of Premiere guitar on both the Tempest and the 1900.
I didn't know anything about the 1900 before now.  I've had my eye on getting a Tempest for awhile.  I need to study up on the 1900.

Don, maybe you can lend some more insight to this amp and the differences?

Ben...what was that Guitar Player issue with the Top 15 (lame) rigs you were talking about?

THx Danny,

The 1900 is a single channel fixed bias amp modelled loosely after a trainwreck type circuit(its way different, but thats where we started).  As the review states, its a rock amp, that keeps all of its clarity with heaps of gain.  Great lead amp, no pedals required.  We have a client that runs a JB 50 head and a 1900 head together through a vertical split 4 x 12 a la JB, and he really likes the combo.  Not much clean, lots of mean.

Hey Danny - I seem to have misplaced it somewhere, but its the most recent issue.  I got it in the mail the day of the the original post so it should be on newstands.  I'm pretty sure it had the cover.

December's issue has Carlos Santana on te cover and there's nothing in there.  Maybe it was Novembers?

Found it - its the holdiay issue for 2008.  Billy Gibons on the front with a bunch of crate stacks.

I have the issue and I'm less than impressed with the rigs shown. I have yet to see an unfavorable review in GP and I doubt I will ever see one.

I saw the issue last night.  I was unimpressed as well.  Even my rig rivaled some of the ones shown.  Some were cool...maybe half of them but the others are pretty common place.
