This one's for Matt ..... Felt Real Sorry For Matt last Sunday 9th ,  He his Father Colin and Uncle Kevin flew over from Belfast , Northern Ireland for The Manchester Acadamy , Which due to Joe's unfortunate illness was cancelled , but all was not lost as Matt Said " Was always a Dream to play a JB Gibson Signature Les Paul "

That was a true gem of a moment. Geoff picked the boys up from the airport and had to keep it a secret that Michael had brought along No5. When he arrived back home there was just an amp cab in the front room. Then the guitar was brought in and Matt was invited to play it. He was shaking so much - Bless! That was the only Les Paul he was to see that day, as Joe's Manchester was cancelled s you all know. Sadly they can'tmake the rescheduled gig on Monday, but I think Matt enjoyed his trip no the less. He surprised us all with his command of some of Joe's music.

Wow Matt, I´m impressed by your playing - the guitar sounds great too! You gotta teach me that "Just got paid" riff next time we meet, o.k.?!

Thanks All .....  Marianne , I Can play a very little bit , But as a kid loved the sound of electric guitar and always wanted one of my own to hopefully learn and play some day , Well getting into joe's music helped me on my way to my dream and an opportunity to really burn that credit card came after much phoning & e-mailing Gibson and was lucky enough to purchase that guitar

And any forum members are very welcome to come visit and play it when they're here for RAH or anytime come to that ( I Just wanna play Reconsider Baby Solo big_smile ) smiling to myself here ... No would love to play that new intro and riff to "One Of These Days" really would and i have tab book but its like hyroglyphics to moi !
But need some help on accquiring a suitable amp   anyone?

Matt is 18 and such a nice honest young man and a good friend too

Hey Michael, cheers for putting that up, and thanks again for letting me have a "jam" on it big_smile. It really is an awesome guitar, i'm just sorry my poor playing didn't do it the justice it deserved.

Thanks everybody for all the nice comments, Joe was right when he said its a differen't story playing in front of a camera lol.

I was also using the Jazz 3 pick which Joe had thrown to Geoff at the gig the previous night,  I didn't realise how small those picks are.

Shout out to JBJHJM from the forum btw, it was a lot of his great tabs I was making a mess of lol big_smile

As soon a cam or rec machine is running it seems we loose our abilities. lol

A very good start Matt!!!   I hear at least three songs in your sample... One thing I can suggest- which I tell Myself somedays, is SLOW IT DOWN.  Repeat and practise until you REALLY, REALLY got it. You build a rythm and play the songs, instead of just trying to keep up with the notes. Slowly- Matt... but a good start and beautiful Gibby-
