Topic: The Quantum of Solace, with James Bond

Well it's finally here in the U.S....going to see ot on the big screen (whatelse is there today)

Here a list of other actors that were rumored to have been approached to play the "007"

1) Richard Burton in 62 (Lazenby is selected)
2) Mel Gibson ( why not)
3) Paul Newman ( after Connery quit in 73)
4) Adam West  (batman??)
5) John Gavin (who?)
6) James Brolin (never saw him mix it up)
7) Sam Neill (are you kidding me)
8) Hugh Jackman (ok, I can see that)
9) Clive Owen (sorry, he got killed to easily by Jason Bourne)
10) Julian Mcmahon (huh?)
11) Gerard Butler (yawn)

Where the heck is my boy Spatucus?....Russel Crowe, I got a crush on him wink.....hey come on now, I'm joking...but really, he's a genuine brawler and wife stealer (must count for something).....I would have gave him the keys to the vault

I watched Daniel Craig in the "Casino Royale", he surprised me, I thought the movie was great...... he's the front runner to play Joe Montanas life story in my book (looks like him without the mullet)....

Hey Shred, you might not believe this but when Daniel Craig was a boy he lived in the same town as me. In fact he lived right across the road from my brother-in-law. I'm absolutely thrilled that his career has taken off.
I loved Casino Royale, haven't seen the new one yet.

Just my little claim to fame!!

Name dropper, just kiddin'. The jury is still out on my 2nd favorite Bond. Connery is and always will be my number 1, but I'm not sure whether Pierce Brosnan or Daniel Craig is my 2nd fave. Bros' is Irish like myself, but I haven't seen the new one yet. The last one was hellagood.

Re: The Quantum of Solace, with James Bond

I enjoyed it!! It was pretty much balls to the walls action....and not your average Bond movie. Was more of an extension to Casino Royale than a stand-alone sequel. Plot was a bit muddy at times, and I would have liked a bit more dialogue to be honest, but a decent film nonetheless!!! I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Bourne would still whup his **** in my opinion!!

Daniel Craig is my favourite Bond I have to say, no-one does brooding intensity like him, and he suffers quite a bit in this film!!   Just my two-pennies worth!

My cousin's husband actually provided the diving equipment and was there to supervise it’s use during the filming.  Still need to get out and watch it myself. I’ll be the one sitting to the end to see Sergio’s name!

Yay - finally out here.  We thought it was great - probably 7 out of 10.  A bit more dialogue and refresher background would have been helpful.  Now I've got to watch Casino Royale again to see what was going on in QoS!  Love Daniel Craig as Bond.

Well I'll be darned...thats prettty cool...he's a very good Bond, the best since Connery....but I still say Russell Crowe would have taken Bond to another level...just my 2 cents

I have yet to see it.  I, too like Daniel Craig as Bond.  A LOT!  as for Bourne...well I had read all the old Bourne Books not too long after they were published.

Years later they told me Will Hunting was gonna be Jason Bourne and I fell out laughing...then I saw a trailer...then I saw the movie, and the next one and the third one.
HORY CLAP!  INTENSITY SQUARED!  He was born to play Bourne, like Banderas was born to play El Zorro and Christian Bale to play the KNIGHT.

I rreally need to start getting out more again.
