Topic: King's X DVD in December

Not sure if anybody on here likes them or cares but they got a DVD coming out call,
Gretchen goes to London filmed back in 1990.  Back when they were getting big.

Excellent! I've been listening to Out of the Silent Planet and Gretchen goes to Nebraska a lot lately. I guess I've been on a bit of a prog-rock binge of late; lots of King's X, Dream Theater and Tool. But anyway, thanks for the heads up!

How could anyone not like King's X? Particularly the first few albums as Stu mentioned. Great songwriting, magnificent vocal harmonies and intelligent guitar playing from Ty, as underrated a playa as there ever was.

all three are really good bands! i'm a Tool fan myself.

i'm stoked for this DVD to come out.

Re: King's X DVD in December

The DVD is fairly low quality and short, but is worth getting for big-time King's X fans.  It is an awesome reminder of their glory days after the release of 2 incredible Albums.  Their distinct combination of heaviness and harmonizing was absolutely amazing and is a pleasure to see & hear again.

Re: King's X DVD in December

Ty Tabor's myspace said he's coming out with a new solo cd which sounds better then the last King's x cd in my opinion.  Plus they are doing some shows that will be filmed professionally next year that will be released as a live concert DVD next year.  The current DVD is from what I understand recorded from 2 hand held camera's and were mixed together.  I was a bit disappointed when I heard that but hey they really are a great band thats still making good music.
