Hendrix at Woodstock.
Robert Plant in the Desert Festival in Timbuktu
Günter
1. Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. in Vegas
2. Marvin Gaye anywhere
3. Bob Marley in Jamaica
Well thats takes some thought....hmm, right off the top this is it
#1...all the bands that came through San Francisco during 1967, actually saw some...remember Janis Joplin slightly, just didnt know it was her until years later, I was 9 at the time...and them hippies, man they were weird (LSD I guess)
#2...The Beatles, my favorite band ever...I'd guess their last tour, whenever that was..I know they played in S,F. in 1965
#3...I want to say Jimi, but seing SRV only once in my lifetime blew me away!!...it was only after hearing him did I hear Albert King, my jaw dropped....I immediately knew where SRV got some of that tone from...the big man I never saw either
Dave
Thats a tough question. SRV anywhere, Rory in Belfast or Hendrix in London.
Cream - February 1968 - Santa Monica Civic Center......... the bonus being that my "big" cousin was the guitarist in a FOLK trio who opened for them that night (for God's sake, can you imagine a FOLK trio opening for CREAM???) ........I do believe Steppenwolf was part of the lineup too........ Funniest part is..... cousin Jack never even TOLD me about this until just this summer.....I just think it is all too cool for words.......and, to have BEEN there??? Wow.......... THAT sure would have been somethin'............ wow.........
Libby
The Beatles, any time, any place (I imagine I would see Angela there, too )
I would also like to have seen Joe when he was younger. Now wouldn't that be totally cool

................................... Michael
Woodstock.
Hendrix at the Isle of Wight
Led Zep anywhere.
Venue: Ram's Head Tavern in Annapolis Md. Artists: Rory Gallagher, Albert King, and Albert Collins. But, the ultimate fantasy would be to travel back to Joe's sessions with Tom Dowd..I would, no doubt, be a master producer by now! (Remember, fantasy:)) That's the ONE advantage to being old...There are lots I did get to see before they were gone forever. Cathy
Robben Ford in the 80's, Stevie of course, Cream, Ozzy with Randy, Zep in the early 70's (the footage from '70 at royal albert hall is AWESOME), AL Di Meola right after Return to Forever
Stevie Wonder back in the 70's.

There's a lot of truth in that Cathy!
On my list (in no particular order)
Led Zeppelin
Woodstock
Stevie Ray Vaughan in a small club
Joe in 2004 or 2005 (I did see him then but wanna go there again)
Sandy
Led Zeppelin
The Doors
Hendrix opening for The Monkees (The shock value alone would've been priceless)
The Allman Brothers live at The Fillmore East with Duane, March 12, –March 13, 1971
Alice Cooper Group at the Toronto Rock N Roll Revival 1969 (Did he or didn't he kill that chicken?)
The Who at Leeds, England February 14, 1971
Stevie Ray Vaughan live at Alpine Valley August 26, 1990
Very good topic.
The first artist and place that comes to mind, and I've thought about this every time I've been to a show there, is Buddy Holly at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa on Feb. 2, 1959.
