Topic: BDS & Gov't Mule @ Smith Opera House

I didn't know what to expect.  First time at this Venue.  The Gestapo was out in full force; had to run back to the truck to drop my pocket knife and hip flask.  But at least they warned everyone ahead of the pat downs.

A short (but SWEEET) set by BDS: http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll17 … 0_1309.jpg

Mule jammed for about 2 1/2 hours but no pigs on the wing: http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll17 … 0_1325.jpg This was punctuated by a brief evacuation for a fire alarm or smoke detector.

For the encore Mule invited Davy Knowles up on stage.  What ensued was the best sounding version of the old CSN classic "Almost Cut My Hair" that I've ever heard! http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll17 … 0_1338.jpg

I endured the mosh pit for the duration.  Spider, glad to meet you - I hope you made it home OK!

I think the Pig only had a contract for a single night!

How awesome is that!  I guess I'll be purchasing some Mule tracks in the near future.

Thanks for sharing this so quickly.

Yes I made it home. Had to take it slow. Too many cops, deer and at times heavy fog made me take it very slow.

Tom it was great to meet you. I enjoyed the show and your company.

It certainly was a interesting evening wasn't it! But thats what makes going to gigs so much fun!!!

Stay Safe!
