Topic: Kinder Revolution Tour

Since more than a few people on this forum will be going to these shows I thought I would start a new thread where everyone can post their stuff about this tour in one place - keep things all neat and tidy!

The Kinder Revolution Tour started off with a huge bang in Boston last night.  You can read my review here

http://backdoorslam.proboards102.com/in … thread=286

Back Door Slam did a great job opening the show - and their set ran exactly thirty minutes!  What in the World was especially great.  Everyone who was there for their set was blown away.

The Mule sets were unreal.  Last year on "Mule-ween" they covered Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy.  Last night they covered a collection of Pink Floyd songs - and Libby, the Pig is alive!  Just the lasers were a show in and of themselves.  It was one of those "concerts of a lifetime."  The Mule played for over 3 hours - I was exhausted just from watching them.

The PIG is ALIVE??!!!  LOL.  Must be an imposter.  A wannabepig.  I have undeniable photographic evidence of THE pig after it "escaped" (was set free by its handlers in a "Porcine PR move" is more likely) and floated away from our Coachella festival last year and met with disaster in the upper atmosphere!!!  I mean..... a REWARD was collected after they found the "body parts"!!!  Nothing like awakening to exploded dirigible pig parts strewn across your driveway..... poor lady (and she was WEARING a PINK FLOYD t-shirt when she MADE the gruesome discovery) - ha - what a story that was!!!!  Thanks for the laugh Sandy.  smile

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Re: Kinder Revolution Tour

I'm mega-psyched!  Pink Floyd? The Pigs?  I think it was 1994, I was at Pink Floyd's final show of their N.A. tour at the meadowlands. The inflatable boar's heads were fabulous. We were center left about 7 rows back from the stage.  Hope to get closer to the stage this time big_smile 3 hours!  I'll try to get a few pics tonight and post them.

RICjunkie - not to burst your bubble but I think the Floyd stuff was probably a Mule Halloween - only special, but whatever they play you will be in for a great show.  Matt Abts, their drummer, even wore a pink disco suit for his "costume"!  They were video taping, so expect a DVD in the future.

Libby - sorry but no pictures this time.  I have had problems getting cameras in this venue in the past so didn't even try [although nobody was checking bags or anything so it would probably have made it in] and my small camera isn't really good enough to work well from where we were sitting.  There are some pictures up on Mulearmy.com if you want to see.  The pig was tethered and docile, no escape attempts were noticed during the performance. smile One of the really cool things about this show was they used a special sound system that was like surround sound and had some of the original Pink Floyd "sound effects" tapes that were really cool.  The funniest part was they were told to wrap it up at midnight - they were ready to play on into the night!

Re: Kinder Revolution Tour

Great review Sandy. It was a good move to put in on BDs forum so the band and their fans could read it to smile

Sounds like it was a great show. Hopefully they will also release a CD like they did for 2007's Halloween show. wink
