Re: Peter Green

any early peter green stuff you cant go wrong with. Also check out some of Rick Vito's early work. He played with the Mac for awhile and is now playing guitar in Mick Fleetwood's blues project.

Re: Peter Green

Try one of these John, they have most of Green's early classics:

Green Manalishi, Oh well, Need your love so bad  Rattle snake shake  Black magic woman, Albatross, Man of the world, Stop messin' round & Love that burns

Fleetwood Mac (with the dustbin on the cover), Mr Wonderful and Then Play On are the three studio albums, also consider getting John Mayall's A Hard Road and Looking Back (which includes So Many Roads).

Here is Oh Well from 1969:

I need your love so bad. Little Willie John who wrote Fever also wrote this song that Fleetwood Mac covered featuring Peter.

Try this. Rick Vito with Fleetwood Mac in 87 doing Peter's Loved Another Woman. Gary Moore does a very good version of this on Blues For Greeny

And in the UK you can still probably still find this kicking around, it has several excellent covers:

That is of course for songs you cannot find by PG himself.... Happy birthday to the man, may he long splinter on......

I cant believe I've never sat down and listened to him before he has so much 'soul' in his playing and it never sounds complicated.. and how odd that its his birthday when I ask about his music lol
