Topic: St. Louis, MO - unique stage - Harrah's Casino - Voodoo Lounge 10-2-08

This might be one of the most unique stages that Joe has ever played on! lol It definitely presented a unique challenge photographically! smile

Here is the link to the photos I took of Joe's show on 10/2/08 at Harrah's. They are best viewed by clicking on the link, and then clicking on the "slideshow" label in the upper right hand corner of the page.

Very nice pictures Rhonda, you are amazing!!!  Got a big chuckle on the series of photos of Bogie tossing his stick up, frame by frame!  And he caught it!  He was one out of two in Texas in catching it.

Thanks for sharing...

My Buddy Rhonda,

Absolutely delightful........These aren't just good, they are really, really good.  Love all the different angles and colors are superb....Joe is stunning!  Really nice of everyone else, too.  Great Bogie expressions!  And the ones of Warren at the end were just like you could reach in and touch him......such a warm feeling to them.  Awesome job girlfriend!!!

Thanks Rhonda! Great shots once again!

Interesting layout to say the least.  I once saw Tab Benoit in a club laid out like this place, except they didn't have a balcony or upper level viewing area. Also, it reminds me a little bit of the lounge in the Oneida Casino near Green Bay where Joe played before, except there the stage was behind the bar and not above the bar.

Thanks guys for your comments!

I think this stage was one of the smallest that the band has played on. They had NO room to move around and the only stage access was the door behind Aaron and Rick. That access went straight down a flight of stairs and to a little room, about the size of your bathroom, where poor Dave had to keep Joe's guitars, swap them out and then run them up and down the stairs to get them ready for the next time needed.

St. Louis - home of my birth and home to my friend Rhonda, Photogal Extraordinaire!!!!

Stunning work, as always........ and, AGAIN..... this set of photos reflects such a different mood.  The venue, the backdrop, the lighting, the clothes, the photographer's perspective and angles, all make such a difference from show to show, don't they?

GREAT JOB!!!  That bow had to be a little scary at the end...... teetering on the edge of the stage - it could have been a four person header into the BAR below!!!!   EEEKKK!!!!

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Cool shots.  I wish I could get the shadow detail you get without blowing out the highlights.  I guess its just a Nikon thing, because I've tried everything.  (except switching to Canon)
