That's disgraceful if Ticketmaster are charging £300 more than the original price!
Personally I have no interest in ever seeing Clapton, but it does bother me that true fans of his are being ripped off so badly.

people buying tickets then selling them on, tbh its disgraceful that happens anyhow
Tbh im considering just buying another set of tickets to see joe
How about £700 for two tickets for row 5 at the RAH? Absolutely outrageous.

I note that on the RAH website they reserve the right to cancel any tickets that are onsold, but I guess this must only apply to tix bought from their box office.
I did try to buy some tickets yesterday but gave up after a few minutes. The main reason for trying is that sooner or later EC may retire and I would quite like to see him before he does.
I've seen EC at the RAH a few times and find him a bit sterile now. His regurgitations of Cream classics and some of his solo stuff lacks the bite of the originals and he just seems to be going through the motions sometimes. He hardly ever seems to use a wah-wah nowadays and if there's one song that needs it, it's Whiteroom which sounds flat to me without it. Oh and I've heard Wonderful Tonight far too many times.
I'd much rather spend the same amount of money seeing a few good bands locally or Joe 3 or 4 times.

You're right of course Wooders, I saw Eric about 25 years ago at the Apollo in Manchester. He seemed to be going through a bad time at that time. My recollection of that concert was that he was very loud and spent a lot of time soloing on the "high notes", without much direction, which gets a bit tiresome after a while. Some of the usual expected songs were there, but I'd like to see his new act / band with a good PA.
As ive said before Leeds this year Clapton blew me away he really did a good show sadly I dont think its £300's worth
There's still tickets for sale at face value on the acc Liverpool web site at £55 each
Geoff, I've seen Eric way too many times over the years.....as far back as The Finsbury Park Rainbow gig in 1973. The last time was at the RAH at the start of his current world tour and I have to say that it really was a blast. I suppose it wouldn't have been as good without Derek Trucks or Doyle Bramhall but so be it.....it was a great night out. I'm really looking forward to next years RAH gigs. I paid £85 per ticket for seats 10 rows from the front and that's fine by me.

OK, I’ve succumbed. At the moment Mrs W is keener to see EC than Joe (I’ve not managed to brainwash her yet!). Amazingly Star Green still has tickets and I’ve just bought two in block H on Bank Holiday Monday, 25th May. Unfortunately, they can’t tell me the row or seat numbers, but for £169 all in I’ll take the risk the risk they may be at the back. I just wish I’d known that some more dates were recently added as I’d really like to have gone on the 31st May, being the last night at the RAH. I think there might be a bigger chance of some big name guests turning up for the last night.
Having not been to the RAH for several years, it’s now twice in one month for us and several others here. Anyone else going on the 25th ?
