Topic: AC/DC - European Tour Dates

Hey guys,

I don't know what happened, not sure how i missed these but it appears they have released european dates and sold a good load of them already.

Heres the link to AC/DC website:

https://tickets.acdc.com/index.php?location=eu

I can't see any dates in england but I'm hoping they will be added. I am tempted to snap some other european tickets up though if i still can.

Grrrrrrr... not amused,
Matt

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! big_smile
At least I´m seeing JOE at that date, hehe!

I was also a little surprised by the ticket prizes - don´t think that AC/DC Fans are those with the big money, but well - if they sell out the olympia stadium in Munich within two hours they can obviously charge that much. I guess we´re all a bit spoiled by Joe´s ticket prizes (apart from the Utrecht gig....). wink

Re: AC/DC - European Tour Dates

Dear me!

I was online this morning and I tried to get some tickets for the Oslo show, but their web server broke due to ehavy traffic lol.

I then found a date in the Bercy stadium in Paris had been added and ticket sales would open at 9:00 my time 10:00 france time. As soon as it hit 9:00 I hit the refreshbutton and scrambled for tickets. In total it must have taken me 2 minutes at the most and i'm still in the balcony at the back. Shockin.

Oh well I now have 2 tickets for Paris if all else fails. Phew!

My tickets cost about 70 euro (each) so in real money its about  £54.5156277 GBP (thank you google). I'm more than happy to pay that, but i am a big AC/DC fan.

Im hoping I can get some UK dates if they are released then sell Paris tickets. They are playing paris twice so if you want tickets be ready for it.

Re: AC/DC - European Tour Dates

People get a grip, they are charging "that" much and selling out faster than you can shout "ANGUS". This is just a sign of the times........how else do you keep about 8 semi trucks full of diesel and make sure your family is set for life? It's actually quite amazing for a little bar band from down under.

On a side note I have a saved AC/DC ticket stub from 1980 that reads......Gen. Adm. $9.50

JDawg, I will be there on the 4th also. Scored 2 tix section B, row.....drumroll please......9, seats 15 & 16 (through Tix Master for face value). Check out the seating chart, I sure hope it's correct.

Re: AC/DC - European Tour Dates

Checked 'er out.....................Sa-WHEET!!!!!!!! I don't even know where I'm sittin' yet, but we gotta hook up for a little pre-show activity.

I'm very disappointed that AC/DC have forgotten their Scottish roots. Malcom and Angus were both born in Glasgow and Bon Scott was also born in Scotland. The band have legions of fans in Scotland. They could have sold out the SECC in Glasgow three times over. Yet nothing. There's not even a gig in Brian Johnson's home city of Newcastle either. sad
No purchase of Black Ice for me!

Re: AC/DC - European Tour Dates

I have to say I was thinking the same thing Greenose. They might still add a date in Scotland though, there is room on either side of the other UK dates.

I was lucky enough to get myself some tickets for the Dublin gig. I was outside a ticketmaster shop from 5AM in the morning, that was a cold one.

Re: AC/DC - European Tour Dates

Eveningtimes.co.uk is reporting:

A Glascow rock jock has banned songs by AC/DC from his radio show - after the group snubbed Scotland on their world tour.

Rock Radio Drivetime presenter David "The Captain" Grant refuses to play tracks from the rock legends because they have only included England in their tour itinerary.

AC/DC, whose songs include Back in Black and For Those About to Rock, have not toured since 2001.

And thousands of rock fans were delighted when they announced a string of European tour dates.

But they were gutted when no Scottish shows were included after rumours of a gig at Glasgow's SECC.

David was outraged at the band's decision and has imposed the ban until further notice.

He said: "I couldn't believe it when I saw Scotland was to be missed out of the group's touring dates.

"Fans are contacting the show in their hundreds and to disappoint loyal, lifelong supporters like this is just unacceptable.

"I will not be playing another AC/DC song on my show for a long time to come, or until the band change their mind on coming to Scotland as part of the tour."

The Black Ice European tour will see the band perform in Dublin, Manchester, London and Birmingham.

But they've left out Glasgow, the birthplace of Angus and Malcolm Young and the city where their first live album, If You Want Blood, was recorded at the Apollo in 1978.

Re: AC/DC - European Tour Dates

Wow, Keith, thanks for that!! I can't believe you've been reading the Evening Times smile
Would you believe I looked at that newspaper today but only for the sport section!! (Glasgow Celtic v Manchester United tomorrow night) smile

I'm also going to remove my AC/DC songs from my MP3 player in protest!

Classic Rock has a special on AC/DC and why this may be Brian Johnson's last album. If anyone purchases it, please tell all! I heard one of the new songs in the music shop near my work at lunchtime. Didn't sounds too special!

Matt, I don't mean to disappoint, but the gaps around their dates are usually left open to add a second show as they did for Oakland as it sold out immediately. I hope for yours and your Scottish mates sake they will reconsider and come your way. You know what they say, nay if it's not Scottish...........it's crap.
