Topic: Dallas HOB in pictures

Flew down from Saint Louis for this show and managed a few nice shots from stage left, 2nd row.

Take a look if interested:

Re: Dallas HOB in pictures

By the way, mods, this forum would be much more interesting if you all allowed us to imbed images directly into posts.

google: "amorica2" and see how black crowes fans do it.

Re: Dallas HOB in pictures

Great pictures Sam! The subject of embedding pictures has been discussed before. There is a major concern over difficulty in moderation. Yes, it is possible to do this on other forums, but the fear is someone posting inappropriate photographs. We sometimes get some bad stuff posted on here which has to be taken down by the mods. Fortunately, those postes are not readily apparent until the posts are read. Pictures on the other hand are kind of er - in your face - so to speak, so I can understand the reluctance to embed photographs in a forum that attracts viewers from all ages, etc.

Re: Dallas HOB in pictures

Great pics!!  thanks for sharing.  It looks like you had a good spot at the concert.  Joe is looking fantastic in that suit.

Re: Dallas HOB in pictures

Lovely photos indeed Samantha.  Do tell..... what IS the HOB photo policy???  All I've heard for MONTHS is that they have a STRICT no photos/no video policy and that they will physically remove anyone who tries....... and then, I see these beauties.  Please tell me what your experience was.

I heard from another Forum member that an announcement was made that no flash photography was allowed.  That was AFTER he had taken his camera back to the car because he didn't want it taken from him.......

Thank you for sharing these.  Did you get shots of Back Door Slam as well?

Welcome, by the way, to the Forum.  Did I miss your first post??  I'll have hunt it down.  Enjoy your time here.  LOTS of great folks.

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Re: Dallas HOB in pictures

Thanks for the feedback on the pictures.

RE: HOB photo policy, the wife and I (ms. samanthabrown) did not hear the "No Flash" lecture at the beginning.  As a result, I did snap a few "flash" pics during Back Door Slam.

A security guy came over and promptly told me "no flash" and that was it.  I adjusted settings and made sure my flash did not go off the rest of the night.

We'd been comped into the Foundation Room and had bracelets on.  Security was very polite thinking we were "somebody" or whatever.  (We weren't)

RE: travel channel... nope.  Samanthabrown is a reference to one of my favorite Dylan songs I listened to during my divorce... "Lonesome Day Blues" off Love and Theft.

I post under "samanthabrown" on the Black Crowes board called "Amorica2"... I have some nice pics there of the Black Crowes among others.  By the way, there's usually lots of love for Bonamassa on the Black Crowes board.

RE: Back Door Slam.  I did take some great shots of them.  I plan on posting them to the BDS board soon.  I flew all that way and did not get "Red House"... dammit.

and finally, FWIW, a friend in Omaha dragged me to my first Bonamassa show back in 2005.  He played at this tiny theater... Scottich Rite Hall.  He came out playing an acoustic... jamming out to Pinball Wizard.  I was like, "Great... he plays guitar, yawn."

He went electric and I was then completely totally hooked and have been since.  Me and the Ms. travel when we can to see $how$... we went to "Joe's on Weed" in Chicago and saw him there.  Always like Bonamassa.  Nobody's heard of him.  Blows my mind.

Re: Dallas HOB in pictures

If anybody is particularly crazy about one of my pictrues, email me and I'll send a hi-res jpeg.

I was at that show at Joe's on Weed St. Great show. I stood front and center with pattylovesjoe and photogal, after meeting them that night.
