Topic: Eamonn Mc Cormack aka "Samuel Eddy"

I went to the Tegelen BluesRock Festival with George, Eva and Geko. We went to see Walter Trout. I had never heard of Eamonn, but when he started playing I quickly found a seat so I could watch and listen. He's been around for a while. Has played with Jan Akkerman, Rory Gallagher, and toured with Walter. I was very impressed with the whole festival (wish I could have gotten a shirt from the time Joe played there). Anyway, he is the kind of power player Joe fans seem to like, so check him out. I hope to see him again myself.                 Cathy

Good that you bring this up Cathy ... I was very impressed too when we saw him.

Does somebody out there have a CD or something that you could recommend?! I thought about buying a record after the show, but as Cathy and me had already bought one of these pinkish "Bluesrock" Shirts I didn´t have enough money for that too. I´ve got to go and see a shrink about that T-Shirt tunnelvision ..... wink

Hi Cathy & Eva, I've heard of Eamonn McCormack. The only song of his I know is called Falsely Accused and was on a CD with Classic Rock magazine a few months ago.
The CD was called Rare Tracks Forgotten Gems. Rory Gallagher plays guitar on the song which is sadly was the last song he recorded in the studio before his untimely death.
I'll have to check if he ever plays nearby.

Pink bluesrock t-shirts rock!

(maybe lol )

In , I thought 1996, I saw him  on a bluesfestival at a venue called 'De Pan"in Silvolde Holland. He played there  (Pat Travers and Rick Derringer were there too) a very good set.
Saw  him  again in Almelo on the Hendrix festival where Trout played too.  After that never heard of him again but he didn't play under the name Samuel Eddy anymore , I didn't know that.
He was a hardrocking bluesplayer at that time, I compare him with Danny O'Bryan.
Very good guitarwork, but a voice that doesn't impresse me too much.
He's Irish and was influenced by Rory Gallagher, that's what he said then.

Good guitarist!!
