Re: queen-2008 tour

Hi Steve. I'm going to the Manchester show on the 5th November. Never been to a Queen show before and I'm looking forward to it. Paul Rodgers is a great singer and is the main reason I'm going. Should be a good night.

Re: queen-2008 tour

We're going to Sheffield in October.

Looking forward to it.
I saw Paul Rodgers in Free in the 70's. He doesn't look that much older now !!

I've also been to the London We Will Rock You Show which was really enjoyable.

Re: queen-2008 tour

Have a great time Steve and all who are going.  Can you please, please, please, post after you see them and give me your thoughts.
I'm anxious to hear how it goes and am awaiting for their arrival here.

The last time was amazing smile

Paul Rodgers does look great for his age, and what a voice too! Get his Live In Glasgow CD/DVD if you can.
By the time I considered seeing Queen's gig at the SECC it was sold out! Look forward to your reviews!
PS Who plays bass?

Re: queen-2008 tour

Should be a great gig for all those going.

Saw Rodgers in Manchester in 2006, and he was great. Ever the showman, and a great voice too, almost as fantastic as it was back in the day.
He had a young 17 yr old guitarist with him that blew my mind at the time, think his name was Kurtis Dengler.....

Re: queen-2008 tour

But it begs the question is it really Queen?  Without Freddie and John there's only half the band, fantastic though Paul Rodgers is.

I've been a fan of Queen ever since Seven Seas of Rhye - saw them back in the 70s in Bournemouth and they were just something else.  Would have loved to have seen them in Wembley too which I think was the pinnacle of their career.  Probably wouldn't go now.
