Topic: Advice on Recording Software ?
Could anyone on the forum give me some advice on recording software ?
I am thinking of buying a programme to allow me to record guitar and vocals onto my computer.
I have used a free one in the past (can't remember the name just now) which was OK and have used one from MAGIC which I never had the time to get to grips with.
I used a Line Six Guitar Port to get the signal into the computer which was OK.
Since I have moved to VISTA (Home Premium 32 Bit), the recording software hasn't worked and I've ditched it all. The Guitar Port also didn't seem to work as well.
I sort of gave up on it (I'm not mega techy) and bought a BOSS BR600 mini recording studio and also a BOSS Dr Rhythm 880 drum Machine.
I've only managed to record one song onto this and loose interest in trying to get them onto a CD as it takes ages and is fiddly. Editing is also a pain of menus and sub menus.
I also found it really difficult for one person to operate, made more difficult by not being able to see the sound on screen as I could with the previous computer set up.
So....I'm thinking of buying some recording software for the VISTA machine.
Does anyone have any advice ?
Some of the ones I've looked into seem more about recording dance beats and beeps. I'm not adverse to this, but want to record guitar blues !!
Help please !!
I've also got a Line Six Pod XT Live which I'd like to get to grips with.
I undersdtand I can use this as the link from guitar to computer.
