I've just built my band's website - for White Room, a U.K band covering Blues-Rock including , of course , JB

Dude, don't sell yourself cheap, I see your site states that you'll play for less money to get a foot in the door. How old are you?.....maybe hit a few local jam nights to get yourself known on the local circuit. BUT!!!!!....Get the right money when you do gig or you'll screw it up for yourself and the bands that are already doing the pub/club gigs in your area. I've seen it happen too many times before.

Wiltshire? Land of The Hoax unless I'm much mistaken.....great band.....hope you follow in their footsteps. Wish you well.

Thanks for the advice, which I have taken and  removed the relevant wording from the site.

This is a tricky area - I know one local band who are now booked solid- they told me that they originally got work by undercutting for a whole year and now get excellent fees (I know the figures , but this was in confidence)

I can see that this would likely to be unpopular with others on the circuit.

We are an 'old boys' band - I have no band experience and the other two have been in  much bigger outfits that had roadcrews /management etc, so we are fairly clueless as regards small venue protocol/money issues.We actually started this venture purely for fun , but have been drawn into a more 'pro' set up ( demos / websites /etc ) by people's expectations.

I guess we'll have to see if the work comes in and take it from there.We did try a few pubs but they all asked for demos which surprised us , but we have a studio booked for Thursday night.

Very nice site and I especially like your set list! Some of my favorite people are listed there. Always great to see new bands taking their steps out into the world. Keep moving forward and putting out great music. I wish you luck!
