You should go.....I would if they came around to Pa or Ohio.  A must see show for sure!...Enjoy it ...: )

Re: Experience Jimi Hendrix

If this were closer I'd be there in a heartbeat. The DVD that just came out is great, and with Buddy Guy and Eric Johnson? No brainer. David Hildalgo  of Los Lobos impressed me when he played with Los Lonely Boys, and both him and Cesar Rojas nailed Cream on the Gov't Mule 'Deepest End' DVD. Check them out doing "Are You Experienced"

Add in KWS and Jonny Lang, with Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox...a fantastic night of incredible playing for sure.

Yep, I'm itching to get to this one...problem is I've already got 3 other shows lined up, including Joe on the 26th...I'm even afraid to ask my husband if I can make another one. yikes  Such a predicament.

Airportdon, there's a show in Upper Darby, PA...

Re: Experience Jimi Hendrix

This is cruel, I missed this last time around, the Upper Darby show is the same night as Joe in Philly! mad Mindy, what other shows you going to?  I just bought Susan Tedeschi tickets today in November with special guest James Hunter and I'm seeing The Who a couple days after Joe.  I couldn't make Buddy Guy with George Thorogood, which I heard was great. The more I listen to Skin Deep the worse I feel about that.

Re: Experience Jimi Hendrix

Hi Angela, I'm seeing Jeff Scott Soto perform with Scrap Metal (Nelson Brothers, Mark Slaughter, Eric Martin, Kelly Keagy) at the Mohegan Sun on Oct. 4th, Joe on the 26th also in Ct. and then Gov't Mule/BDS on Nov 8th (another Ct show).

You don't think you'd get to see the Jimi Hendrix show in NYC do you? big_smile wink

Very cool on the other shows you're going to.  I'd LOVE to see The Who again.
