Topic: Off to Memphis

I found out that I'm headed to Memphis tomorrow.  I've been wanting to catch Blind Mississippi Morris for a while and now I've got a chance to see him. Morris is to the mouth harp what JB is to Les Paul guitars IMO.  I didn't see too many details on the BB King Blues Club site. I'm hoping that his band, the Pocket Rockets, are backing him. Barring flight cancellations or delays I should be there for the 6 PM show.  If any of my Bonabuddies want to join me for some blues, brews and barbeque let me know!

The show was great. Brad Webb was on guitar and he's really good. Morris on the vocals and harps.  Not too much original material but lots of blues covers from a who's who of Blues; John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, BB King, etc.  Just fabulous.  Anyone heading down to Beale Street I'd say catch this show at BB King's Blues Club. Blind Mississippi Morris on around 6 PM or so about 4 or 5 nights a week.
