Topic: The Knitting Factory, 8-28-8 Spokane, Washington

Proving that there's only one Rhonda, I humbly submit my pix from Spokane.  In my defense, I'm using a little Canon Powershot.

I've included a few Sepia shots and a few B & Ws.

Rob, I left this comment on the other page too....... and, it IS TRUE, there IS only one Rhonda, whose work I admire and adore....... BUT, there IS only one YOU TOO..... and I am so glad that you were THERE and that you are HERE.  smile  Here ya go:

"Rob,

The word that kept running through my head, as I looked at this particular series of photos, was BEAUTIFUL....... they are so BEAUTIFUL and VERY EMOTIONAL....... and haunting, many of them......... NOT TYPICAL ...... but the mood - well, I must say that these are some of my favorite photos that I have EVER seen of Joe...... EVER.  Bravo.

I for one am very glad that you decided to vacation so far from home so that we could share in the pleasure of seeing THESE.  I have too many favorites to pick just one...... but even this, the first one, is so lovely.............. tonight my heart and soul are deeply touched by the visual alone.  Thank you Rob.

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Rob -

These are great pictures, no reason to "apologize" for them.  As Libby pointed out there is only one Rhonda, and she can't be at every Joe show [although I imagine her and a whole bunch of the rest of us wish we could be!]  A great photograph may not be "technically" perfect, but it is the subject and how the photographer uses the camera to be his "eye" and capture that unique moment that is what really makes a picture "great."  By this definition your pictures are "Great."  Thanks for sharing.  Looking forward to more in the future.

"There's a lot of people that are in so much of a hurry to be, I guess, to be famous or that they don't want to take the time to learn to play and do all that. They'd rather just knock it down off a computer and maybe get on a game show and get famous..That's fine if that's what you want to do.
