(Hint..If you are traveling abroad and you want to get your boarding pass early, have your passport ready because you must enter info from it..That was a new experience.) Oh, you mean the Bratwurst Rösslein?! Next time you come to Nürnberg you should drop me a line and we can have a little Bonabuddy meeting ... but this time we´re not meeting in Nürnberg but in Möchengladbach (at Geko´s place) - of course you´re all invited to my flat when Joe comes to Nürnberg in November .

Cathy has left the forest.........................and very much appreciates all the kind thoughts and wishes going her way, but was obviously too rushed to be able to thank anyone. I, on the other hand, have an entire long evening to work through my final check-list of 47 more things to do.
The eagle has landed.
Only five hours late.....but all is good now.

George,
I hope Cathy brought the photos i gave her so you can see them.Hope you two have a great
time and i know you will!! Bob
PS: Cathy i talked to Tom the other day and the news isn't good he has 3rd stage renal cancer.
THANK GOODNESS!!! All's well that end's well. Whew!! Months and months of waiting and then a flight delay......... oh boy. Did you get back to sleep AFTER we found out George? Oh........ shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........... I think I hear some snoring NOW............ okay, take your time......... as I said..............
MUCH LOVE TO YOU BOTH!
lil' bit
Just spoke with George and Cathy - literally - we had a nice little three-way conversation. They sound wonderful - tired, but wonderful. Turns out Cathy's plane DID actually have to turn around and land back in Philly....seems a back up system which is required for Transatlantic crossings was not working........but, eventually, after a plane change, they took off again and arrived 5-6 hours late......... luckily they allowed her to move into a bulkhead seat for a large portion of the flight....... so, she was pretty comfy and able to get about four hours of sleep in.......... and, speaking of sleep.......... they're drifting off right now........ sweet dreams to my sweet friends............
Libby
P. S. OH YES..... this too....... Not ONLY has George been waiting with the patience of a SAINT for Cathy to arrive, but, also for his copy of "Live From Nowhere in Particular" which SHE was bringing to him!!! Wow - now THAT is one PATIENT MAN!!!!
Glad to hear that you ariived savely Cathy ...
My trains also were delayed - each one of the four!!
But now I´m sitting here in Mönchengladbach with my friend Ina and we´re preparing to go food-shopping with Geko this afternoon.
See you on Friday!!
Eva
Having a wonderful time.....Cathy saw her first coffee shop, had her first tram ride and saw her first 'red light district'.
Seeing as how she comes from the forest, dealing with people, cars, trams and bicycles all around has been a little freaky for her, but I want to assure y'all that I'm taking real good care of her.
Tomorrow we're off on a short mimi tour to meet up with Bonabuddies Andre, Eva and Geko in Germany.....will post pics asap.

I'm jealous, George.....if I ever get to Amsterdam, I'm afraid I'll never leave!!!
You two have a great time, DON'T behave yerselves, and give my love to Andre, Eva, and Geko.....and the coffee shop owners!!
Rock on Swami Cate!!!!!

George - what about Cathy's reaction to pommes frites with mayonnaise???
Wow...That's a start..Wow. This really is a whole new adventure. As George alluded, I'm slowly adapting to looking for cars, trams and BIKES..which come at you from every angle. The beauty of the system here is that it retains a village feel. NO stinky buses or massive traffic jams. As for all the rest..I fit in quit easily if I do say so myself. Fries with mayo? I have a friend who only eats hers that way.
Bob..I'm heartsick about Tom..e-mail me here..I don't have addy's with me
So..now we're off to Germany to meet some special Bonabuddys and share MUSIC!! I'm on schedule now, so I'll post more often. Wish you all were along.. It's grown-up Disney World!!! Thanks again for all your thought's and well wishes....Cathy
Well,
I'm leaving in 30 minutes, first pick up Rudi and then to Geko to meet the others. have the Joe wine with me so..........all will be fine!!!!!!!!!
Will let you know how all was when I return.
Have a very nice weekend all of you, I'm sure we have!!!!!

Official report from the International-Mönchengladbach-Joe-Bonamassa-Forum-Meeting:
We´re all sitting at Geko´s place right now, locked in with tons and tons of food (we´ve got food for approximately 3 months...), laughing, listening to music and talking so much that my voice sounds like Kermit the frog right now (maybe also due to the cold that I have...) ... love it!
Eva
It´s very, very nice musical, alcohlic, foody, cosy, friendly, funny. We have a great time, Geko and Rudi are trying to get the fire started for the BBQ and after the BBQ we go to Walter Trout. Last night we went to Devon Allman and had a nice talk with Harrie Braun about Joe Bonamassa - he´s the tourmanager for Europe now. I have a little quiz: it´s half past one and only one person is still in his/her pyjama - guess who is it? The first who answers correctly gets a little present from him/her ....
Andre
We want to thank Andre for disappearing the original post into cyberspace due to the peculiarities of German keyboards!
So, for the second time - we drove all the way from Amsterdam to Moenchengladbach in the rain, which meant that a journey that should have taken no more than 2.5 hours wound up taking 4.5 frustrating hours, though I could think of worse things than being stuck in a car with Cathy! We got here more or less just in time to head off to Devon Allman, who put on an excellent and very enjoyable show, though the highlight was talking to Harrie Braun after the show about the ever-increasing interest in Joe from unusual parts of the world - then back to Geko's, up till the wee hours with lots of music and Greek barbecue - not enough sleep, more rain, more music, tri-lingual communication foul-ups - all great fun on a unique occasion, all made possible by our common love of Joe's music!!
George
This is a wonderful group of people. It's like I've known them forever. Geko is as sweet and enthusiastic as he seems..eager to post more in the gear section, but limited by language. He has been encouraged to post anyway and we'll figure it out. He's a great guitar player to boot..has his Joe signed guitar hanging in the front room. Eva is beautiful and bright, probably knows more about the blues than most folks my age. If I was a young German man, I'd be chasing her!! Andre..OH Andre..What a character!! Funny, a smart arse for sure!! He and his best friend Rudy have some stories to tell!! and some they won't!! But, regardless much fun to be with. All are Joe fans supreme!! We all know how wonderful it is to be amongst those that share the obsession. I really wish this was a Forum fest..You would all have a great adventure with this group...Now off for MORE food and music,,,happy..happy!!! The best part..If they are saying bad things about me in Dutch or German..I'm oblivious!!! Cathy
P.S. Geko will post seperately as he's on bbq duty now.
