Hey, just wondered if this had been missed. I'd love to see BB King if he was in a venue near me! smile. Go and see him whilst you still can.

Anyone heard the album yet?

Remember too he is the one that gave Joe his big break at 12 years old.

Excellent album. B.B.'s best in years in my opinion. T Bone Burnett did a fantastic job at capturing B.B. They went back to B.B.'s sound in the 50's, even going as far as re creating a recording studio circa 1950, and all the songs were cut live, with all the songs carefully picked to fit that style. He's still in great form, guitar and vocal wise, and for a man who will be 83 as of September 16th, players a quarter of his age can still take pointers from him. Just a small combo with a horn section, the production's been stripped back compared to his recent albums, and thus it's more tough than anything he's put out in many a year.

Re: B.B. King Tour Dates, New Album Released

Already have my tickets for the October 31st show Keith. Dawn has never seen B.B., while I've seen him twice back in the early '70s. I told her he's one person you must see in your lifetime. What really is great is I'll be seeing both the old master and his young friend who's also a master of the guitar now in October. Yes, I'll see both B.B. and Joe in the same month. Really looking forward to both shows!

Roy

Joe is the Best!

On the Sept 13th edition of Billboard's Top 200 Album Charts, B.B. is sitting at #37 with this album. B.B. King in the Top 40 at age 82? Who woulda thunk it? Major Congrats to B.B.!
