Topic: Ryan McGarvey Live at The Thirsty Ear Festival broadcast live tonight

Just a head's up to let everyone know that Ryan McGarvey will be headlining the Thirsty Ear Festival tonight in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which today also features today performances by Shemekia Copeland and Richard Thompson, before Ryan hits the stage at approximately 10:30 EST/7:30 PST. The best part about it is that it's being broadcast live via 2 local NPR stations, KSFR 101.1 Santa Fe and KUNM 89.9 Albuquerque.

Excellent Keith!!....thank you, I got it on live right now...been wanting to catch Ryan live, I got one of his disc thats name escapes me right now...my god that young kid can play the guitar...right now, I'm not sures who on stage, but it sounds cool!!...guess in 45 minutes I'll hear Ryan blazing smile

Shred..Richard Thompson has been around for eons..check out Fairport Convention..that was him, and his then wife, Linda.....(God I'm old!)

Ryan came on late, I only got to hear him play 2 songs...the first was an old ZZ tune "Brown Sugar"...that kid talks and plays like a man much much older than whatever he is.... 25?....I hope he hits the west coast sometime, I'd drive to some miles to see him...gotta go, the wife (grouchy and mean tonight) says I have to sad ....hold on a minute, is he playing the intro to "Mountain Time"?????....man, it sure sounds like it, and I'm not kidding you either....nope...but it had me going there for a second

Darn it...I snuk back in as Ryan was killing ""Strangehold" By T.N. and they end the show...NO!!!!!!!!!

They ended up broadcasting 4 complete songs live by Mr. McGarvey,

"Brown Sugar"

"Right In All The Wrong Ways"

"Mystic Dream"

"Joyride"

And a cut off way too soon searing encore cover of Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold", just when Ryan was launching into the solo. Shoddy broadcasting to state you're coming back to broadcast live an encore, only to cut it off in the middle, I'd say. But Ryan was rockin' big time, and deserved to have much more of his set broadcast.

Oh, and Shred, Ryan is still yet 21, will be 22 in October.
