I'm So Looking Forward to seeing Monte Montgomery tonight I'm Stoked!!! and I see Joe gives thanks to him on his new live cd so cool The J Dwag and I will be hitting the road to Berzerkely tonight to catch this gig woohoo the next 4 days is Busy and FUN!!

8/22  Texas Holdem a  SRV tribute band  with "No Right Turn" an Allman Brothers tribute band. This place is HOT and the music is going to be amazing

I'll second that notion. Monte kicks butt live. He was surprised and overcome with a cheshire grin when I told him Joe gave him a thank you in the liner notes from Live From Nowhere. We only had time for one set, but what a set! He closed with a wicked cover of Sarah Smile by Daryl Hall. Monte told the crowd about he and Daryl getting together at Daryl's home studio and playing each others songs. He said it's on the internet titled Live from Daryl's house. Catch him if you can. This was the best $10.00 investment in months.

Don't know if you're on the Conn. side of NY, but Monte will be in Fairfield, Ct. on 9/28. Check his myspace for details.

Rockpalast is broadcasting a double show witk Eric Sardinas and Monte Montgomery from a show last July in Bonn germany.

I can record the show and make a CD from it and send it to you.

He is a fantastic and very unique player. First heard him on Planet Rock, Rob Birnie was singing his praises. I really like his version of Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits. What is his connection to Joe?

Just friends. They have played many of the same places, played on the same bills together and actually shared the stage a time or two. Mutual respect as well.
