Topic: Our new demo CD

Hi,

Im not certain in what section this should be posted.
Anyway, I made a new demo CD with my band (Bryan Adams Tribute)
last weekend. 

I would be happy about opinions and statements (good or bad)

PS: In "when you're gone" I play the Gigliotti GT.

Good stuff!  For a moment I thought that was Bryan himself singing (It's Only Love). Good guitar too.

It was the most trickiest part to find a singer with that smokey voice
who can also reach the high notes...
In its only love I played a 57 goldtop Les paul for the lead parts.

Sounds good! The playing is perfect, the sound is excellent, good demo. Did you record the guitar through an amp, or with some direct plugin?

Male singer sounded good, but I'm not crazy about the female voice in "it's only love". Then again, not many people can sound like Tina Turner.

Did you record the guitar through an amp, or with some direct plugin?

Hi Ken,
For the lead parts I used a miked Valvetech Hayseed 30 for (its a fulltube AC-30 clone, very good)
that was cranked up with a Treble Booster in front.
Brian May and Rory Gallagher were known for this setup. I like it.
For the rhytm guitars we paired the Hayseed with a
Vox AC-30 on a lower gain setting. This combination was great sounding.

As you stated right, in comparison with Tina Turner you can only loose...voicevice.
But our female singer is only 20 years and shes now 3 years with us.
She sings all the backings and duets. We are pretty happy with her.

Wow, that sounds great! cool
I really like "when you´re gone" - I´m very impressed with your guitar playing .... a friend of mine is a big Bryan Adams fan and he has a CD where Bryan plays some pretty cool Blues songs on an acoustic guitar ... I forgot which CD it was, but I really liked that recording.

Anyway, she will be flattered to hear that...

@Libby: Thanks a lot. It means a lot to me to read those lines especially here.
I was first a bit insecure to publish this songs...well its a JB forum. 
Makes me even more glad and shows me the how open the forum members are. big_smile

@Eva: Thanks for your compliments. smile I believe you mean the song "If you wanna be bad you've gotta be good" I'm not certain if he played an accoustic version of it. Was it on the MTV unplugged? Otherwise he has some other blues based songs...

Und noch was, versprochen!! Ich melde mich sobald wir in der Nähe Nürnbergs spielen.
Das ist auch garnicht so abwägig da wir im kommenden Jahr versuchen weiter raus zu kommen. Deshalb ja das neue Demo. Kann dir gern eins zukommen lassen sobald wir das booklet fertig haben.
