They're all great, just ask them and then there's James Cotton & Charlie Musselwhite. Oh, don't forget the Harmonicats.

Hey Fletch...

I saw Billy Gibson on the BluesCruise in January, and initially I wasn't too impressed.....he seemed like he was just pushin' a little too hard, and a wee bit too full of himself.  We started callin' him "Ace".....lovingly, of course.....

But the more I saw him throughout the week, the more I came to appreciate his playin', and found out that he's a really nice guy.  I think it might have been his first cruise, and he was just a little nervous.....or seasick.....

They were playing his album on the local Blues show and I thought he was fantastic. My favorite harp player is still Kim Wilson from the Fabulous Thunderbirds. If you ever get a chance, go see him. I was mesmerised. The guy on the Blues show I listen to is a harp player in a band and he was floored by him.

Re: Great harp player!

I love Kim Wilson.....although I've never seen him.  He's not only a great harp player, but he's got a killer voice.  I gotta go check out his tour page.....

Another great harp player I found out about recently is Chris Harper.  I posted about his new CD a while back.....it's buried on this page somewhere.  But if you like harp players, Fletch, you oughta check him out.....

And, speaking of harp players.....I'll be seein' Jason Ricci tonight (thanks Carl!).....I'll let you know how that went when I get back.....

Re: Great harp player!

Shoot.  I think I MISSED Kim Wilson a few months ago........ won't let THAT happen again.

Missed Charlie Musselwhite too.  For shame...........

AND......my only regret from my summer of fun is that I could NOT figure out how to clone myself in time to be at the JOHIO shows AND the James Cotton show at the Coach House on my birthday........ hopefully, THAT opportunity will present itself again........

Say what????  What do you MEAN I can't expect to see EVERYBODY????  Why NOT???  LOL.

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Thanks, Chris was good. Liked the guitar player as well. Reminded me of Larry Carlton.
